Possible Assassin’s Creed ‘Empire’ Screenshot Leaks [UPDATE]

Possible Assassin’s Creed ‘Empire’ Screenshot Leaks

After taking time off last year, Assassin’s Creed seems to have re-emerged again via a leaked screenshot of Assassin’s Creed ‘Empire’.

There are no other sources to confirm the screenshot is in fact Assassin’s Creed so take this with a grain of salt.

The screenshot was shared on Reddit but has since been removed, you can see the screenshot below:

Assassin's Creed Empire

As you can see from the image above, the leak seems pretty convincing and ties in with what we’ve heard about the project last year.

With a general trend of moving forward in time with their games, Ubisoft seems to have reversed that by going further back than ever before to Ancient Egypt.

The news we heard last year suggested that Assassin’s Creed would be moving to a bi-annual release moving forward.

What do you think of the Egyptian setting for the series? Are you excited for the series to return?

Update: New Screenshot Leak and Title Possibly Revealed

A new screenshot for the next Assassin’s Creed game has reportedly been revealed over on Reddit.

Various sites are reporting that this screenshot is legitimate with Eurogamer having confirmed it with three separate sources.

The screenshot shown below seemingly confirms the Egyptian setting and at least some form of naval or ship-oriented gameplay:

The character on show matches relatively closely with the one shown in the previously leaked screenshot.

Meanwhile last week WWG reported that their sources had confirmed the title of the game as Assassin’s Creed: Origins and would be a prequel as the name suggests.
