You can check out the new trailer below:
For a bit of historical context, Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII are siblings and during the time period of the game are engaged in civil war. This is where Caesar enters the picture to help Cleopatra try to claim her throne back from her brother.
The trailer puts across that Egypt was a cultural melting pot at this time with not just Egyptians but Greeks and Romans in the land too.
A cinematic trailer, as is tradition for Assassin’s Creed was also released recently.
Several outlets have posted new gameplay footage from Gamescom showing one of the main quests and some open-world exploration of Memphis which has been shown for the first time.
Interestingly, we now know protagonist Bayek has a wife who is also an assassin of sorts and works for Cleopatra. It could be possible players control Aya, Bayek’s wife at some point with multiple playable characters confirmed – albeit to a lesser extent than Syndicate.
The gameplay out of Gamescom also shows the return of investigations as Bayek searches the environment to uncover how a bull revered by the Egyptians was poisoned.
Ubisoft has stated previously as the name Origins hints, we will discover the beginnings of the Assassin’s Brotherhood as we know it from the original game.
