Fantastic Beasts Sequel Now Shooting, Plot Details Announced
The Fantastic Beasts sequel has started filming and now Warner Bros. has released details on what we can expect from the plot.
The following is the official synopsis which involves both Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel:
“The only one who might be able to stop him [Grindelwald] is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) but Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander.
“The adventure reunites Newt with Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will also test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.”
The Fantastic Beasts sequel will be set in Paris in 1927, just a few months after Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has aided in the capture of Grindelwald played by Johnny Depp. Grindelwald has now escaped and gathered a group of anti-No-Maj followers.
The film is scheduled for release in November 18, 2018 and is planned to be the second part of five planned films total. The Fantastic Beasts follow-up is being directed by David Yates once more and the script is being written by J.K. Rowling.
