Team17 Bringing My Time At Portia to Consoles
Sandbox Crafting Game My Time At Portia Coming to Consoles
Chinese developer Pathea Games and Worms creator Team17 have announced a partnership to bring My Time at Portia, the 3D sandbox game to consoles in 2018.
The title which is currently nearing the end of its Kickstarter campaign is inspired by the works of Hayao Miyazaki such as Castle in the Sky featuring a picturesque aesthetic and the ruins of an ancient civilization.
The game is described by developer Pathea Games as a mixture of Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing and focuses on exploration and crafting after the player inherits their father’s workshop.
My Time at Portia was already announced for Steam Early Access in early 2018 and an alpha preview of the game is available to download for free. President of Pathea Games, Zifei Wu had the following to say on the announcement:
“My Time at Portia is a huge passion project for the team here at Pathea games and we’re excited to be working closely with Team17.
“We’re hugely grateful to the support and enthusiasm of the backers of our campaign so far and the Alpha build we shared was just a very small taste of the world we’re going to create in partnership with Team17 in bringing My Time at Portia to PC and consoles.”
Players can expect My Time at Portia on console sometime after the PC release in early 2018.
Pathea Games was founded in 2012 and My Time at Portia is currently at $70,000 on Kickstarter with a target of $100,000.
Stretch goals on the campaign include additional pets, decorations for the player’s home and the ability to ride animals.
Team17 are best known as the creators of the classic game series, Worms and have also published titles such as The Escapists and Overcooked.
