New Final Fantasy XV Trailer

Final Fantasy XV Looks Impressive

Tokyo Game Show is currently underway and one exciting development is the release of a new trailer for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV. Check out the trailer below if you haven’t seen it yet:

The game looks gorgeous and while it’s still early in development, there is much to be excited about in the trailer. A revamped combat system, impressive AI companions and a cool car to drive around in are all featured and should be enough to keep fans interested in this title. Many were disappointing in Final Fantasy XIII and it’s sequels. Whilst visually stunning that game certainly had story and pacing issues taking a long time to get going and really allowing the player to explore the world. In addition, Square Enix has revealed that a demo for the game called Episode Duscae will be included in copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 when it releases in early 2015.

Could this be a return to form for the series?

In related news, Hajime Tabata has now replaced Tetsuya Nomura as director of Final Fantasy XV. Tabata, who has previously worked on the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII steps up from his position as co-director on the game. Meanwhile Nomura now shifts his focus to the eagerly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III title.
