Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition Announced, Final DLC Detailed
Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition Coming This December Along With DLC
Capcom have announced a Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition and the final piece of DLC, End of Zoe for this December.
The Gold Edition includes all the content for the original game as well as all three pieces of DLC: Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2 and End of Zoe.
The new edition of the game will be released digitally and in stores on December 12, 2017 along with the third piece of DLC – End of Zoe.
This latest DLC follows Zoe Baker where “players will face off against new enemies and explore new swamp filled areas.” End of Zoe will also be available as a free update for Season Pass owners or as a separate download for £11.99 / $14.99.
In addition, the previously delayed Not A Hero DLC starring Chris Redfield will also release in December according to Capcom, taking place after the events of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard:
“Taking place after the horrific events that befell Ethan Winters in Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Not A Hero brings a brand new experience playing as Chris to face new threats not met in the main game. As a member of New Umbrella, Chris and team quickly set up a strategy to counter this latest threat.”
Upon release Resident Evil 7 was received positively by critics and stood out as a big name third-party title to make use of virtual reality headsets. The game was seen as a return to form by many as it returned to a claustrophobic setting with less emphasis on action and more on mystery.
In July, Capcom announced that the game had sold 3.7 million copies placing a little short of their four million expectation.
