Star Wars Battlefront II Arcade Mode Coming to Beta
Star Wars Battlefront II Arcade Mode Announced For Beta
EA have announced a Star Wars Battlefront II Arcade mode included in the game’s beta.
In the full game, Arcade mode will allow players to fight AI controlled enemies across all three eras of Star Wars and the beta will allow players to have a taste of the mode on the Theed map.
Those participating in the beta can either take part in a 10 vs 10 battle with enemies and allies controlled by AI or a scenario where you play as a hero against everyone, in this case Darth Maul.
Upon full release players will be able to bring in their Star Cards, weapons and unlocked abilities from multiplayer while the mode also supports split-screen for playing cooperatively with or against a friend offline.
You can get a feel for all the changes including Arcade mode coming to Star Wars Battlefront II in the latest trailer for the game narrated by Finn himself, John Boyega:
Like other areas of the game, Arcade mode will grant the player in-game credits to spend on crates and new Star Cards and will also contain challenges.
The settings of Arcade mode can be tweaked to allow for custom configurations too such as difficulty or the types of trooper class you will face.
2015’s Star Wars Battlefront was criticized by some fans for not containing a single-player mode instead choosing to focus more on online multiplayer and for a lack of content especially at launch.
DICE is attempting to address these criticisms with a full single-player campaign set between Episodes VI and VII and modes like Arcade which support offline play.
The beta begins publicly from October 6-9th and those who pre-order the game get early access to the beta on October 1st.
What do you make of the new Star Wars Battlefront II Arcade mode? Are you looking forward to the campaign?
