Star Wars Battlefront Getting Rogue One DLC

Star Wars Battlefront is celebrating its one year anniversary with new DLC based on the upcoming film Rogue One.

Rogue One: Scarif will be the fourth and final DLC pack for Star Wars Battlefront and will be available to players on December 6.

The DLC includes 4 new maps, one of which is the sandy beach battle on Scarif which you may recognise from the Rogue One trailer.

Also included in the DLC are two new playable characters – Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic and a new multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat.

Players will also have access to a new Rogue One: X-Wing VR mission for Playstation VR on December 6.

As part of the anniversary celebrations new in-game activities have been added to the game such as quadruple score this weekend and free access to the maps and modes of all the DLC – Outer Rim, Bespin and Death Star until November 20.

EA and DICE have spoken about how Star Wars Battlefront has evolved over the past year:

“It’s been an incredible year for Star Wars Battlefront. The game has evolved in ways we never thought possible, and the community has exceeded our wildest dreams with their creativity and passion.

“From cinematic still frames to hilarious comedy shorts, there’s no limit to the creativity of the Star Wars fan base, and we’ve had a blast looking at all of the content created over the last year with Battlefront.”

Star Wars Battlefront had the biggest ever launch for a Star Wars title in the U.K last year.

The next entry in the Star Wars universe is Star Wars: Rogue One starring Felicity Jones which will be released on December 16.
