Tokyo Game Show 2015 News Roundup

Lots of gaming news has come out and will continue to be announced this week at Tokyo Game Show 2015 (TGS).

Here’s a round-up of all the news announced so far:


Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Announced – The Old Hunters is an expansion for Bloodborne and will expand on the story of the game.

Sony producer Masaaki Yamagiwa had this to say about The Old Hunters:

Set in a nightmare world where hunters from the past are trapped forever, explore brand new stages full of dangers, rewards, and deadly beasts to overcome.

You’ll find multiple new outfits and weapons to add to your arsenal as well as additional magic to wield and add more variety to your combat strategy.

With new story details, learn the tale of hunters who once made Yharnam their hunting grounds, meet new NPCs, and discover another side of the history and world of Bloodborne.

The expansion will be available on November 24th and on December 3rd a retail version will be released. The add-on will cost £11.99/€14.99/$20.

Gravity Rush Playstation 4 Version Confirmed – Sony has announced Gravity Rush Remastered will be available on Playstation 4 on February 9th in North America and February 10th in Europe.

Gravity Rush originally launched on Playstation Vita in 2012.

The PS4 version is being handled by BluePoint Games and will include all three original DLC packs — the Spy Pack, The Maid Pack, and The Military Pack.

A sequel is also in the works for 2016.


Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will contain Jack the Ripper DLC – Ubisoft has announced a season pass for Assassin’s Cred Syndicate which will contain Jack the Ripper DLC, The Last Maharaja Pack with 10 new missions, A Long Night mission, a Streets of London gameplay pack with extra missions, gear, weapons and an XP boost.

The Jack the Ripper DLC will take place 20 years after the main campaign in 1888 during the Autumn of Terror in Whitechapel.

According to Ubisoft players will:

Join forces with Inspector Frederick Abberline of Scotland Yard to hunt down Jack the Ripper in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the infamous serial killer.

Yakuza 6 exclusive to Playstation 4 and HD remake confirmed – The Yakuza franchise is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an HD remake of the original game coming to PS3 and PS4 and will arrive in Japan on January 1st 2016.

The HD remake will include new scenarios not included in the original, updated visuals and increased user friendliness.

A demo for Yakuza 6 will also be included in this version.

This comes after the news earlier this year that Yakuza 5 would come to the West with all its DLC included.

Yakuza 6 will be exclusive to PS4 and will be released in Autumn 2016.


Toukiden 2 Announced for 2016 – The open world action game will be available on PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.


Dark Souls 3 gets Japanese release date – From Software’s action RPG will hit Japan on March 24th 2016 with no confirmation on a release date in the West yet.


King of Fighters XIV announced for PS4 – Coming in 2016.


Danganronpa 3 Announced for PS4 and PS Vita – No release date yet.


Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Revealed for Playstation 4 – The Final Chapter Prologue will contain a HD remaster of Dream Drop Distance, originally released for Nintendo 3DS, scenes from Unchained X called Back Cover, which will reveal new parts of the series’ history, and Birth By Sleep 0.2 – A Fragmentary Passage, a completely new story taking place after the events of Birth by Sleep with Aqua.

A trailer will be released in on September 17th.


Star Ocean 5 Release Date Announced for Japan – Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will come to PS4 in Japan on February 25, 2016.

There is no release date for the West, although it will come in 2016.


Nioh coming exclusively to PS4 in 2016 – The slash ’em up game, according to producer Kou Shibusawa the game will be “impossible to clear on the first try”.


SaGa Scarlet Grace Coming to Vita – Coming in 2016.
