Holland certainly has more than a passing resemblance to young Nathan Drake.

This current incarnation will be produced by Charles Roven, Avi Arad and Alex Gartner with Sony Pictures looking for a new writer to draft the script.

The film will be directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum series and Real Steel) and reportedly the rewrite was inspired after Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman saw footage of Holland in the latest cut of Spider-Man Homecoming.

Holland previously starred as Spider-Man inĀ Captain America: Civil War which was the character’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

You can see Holland as Peter Parker in Spider-Man Homecoming which will web its way to screens later this year on July 7th also starring Robert Downey Jr. and Michael Keaton.
