Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and The Crew Coming This Fiscal Year

Ubisoft has revealed that several of its franchises will debut in the current fiscal year including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry and The Crew.

In its 2017 earning report the publisher stated that it intends for new entries in Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew and South Park to debut before March 31, 2018.

Perhaps the most surprising game in that list is The Crew which released in 2014 to mixed reviews.

Looking to the future, the company stated that in the fiscal year 2018-19 they plan to debut four AAA releases while pursuing “our digital transformation and consolidate our new business model, which is much more recurring and more profitable and is now significantly less exposed to new releases.”

In terms of sales, Ubisoft’s digital offerings received a significant bump over last year accounting for 50% of all total sales compared to last year’s 32%.

There have been several leaks pertaining to Assassin’s Creed since the series took a year off in 2016 including leaked screenshots which seem to confirm the title will take place in Egypt and the rumoured name of the game – Assassin’s Creed Origins.

A number of logos for Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2 have also come to light today which you can see below:

We’re sure to learn more about Ubisoft’s offerings in the coming year at E3 2017.

What do you hope to see from each of these franchises moving forward?
