Upcoming Films in September 2014

Although September doesn’t contain any blockbuster releases like August, there are a couple of films that look reasonably promising. Here are three upcoming films in September 2014.

 

The Hundred-Foot Journey

Starring Hassan Kadam and Helen Mirren, The Hundred-Foot Journey follows Manish Dayal, a talented chef who along with his family move from their native India to a small, quaint village in the south of France. Their Indian restaurant comes into conflict with a classical French restaurant run by Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren) as two different culinary cultures collide. Directed by Lasse Hallstrom (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen) The Hundred-Foot Journey releases on September 5th.

 

The Boxtrolls

Upcoming Films in September 2014

This family-friendly animated film comes from the creators of Coraline and ParaNorman. Introducing audiences to a population of mischievous creatures called Boxtrolls, the plot follows an orphan boy named Eggs who was raised by the Boxtrolls. The film features the vocal talent of Ben Kingsley, Jared Harris and Simon Pegg. The Boxtrolls releases on September 12th.

 

Wish I Was Here

Upcoming Films in September 2014

Directed by and starring Zach Braff (Garden State), Wish I Was Here tells the story of a 30-something year old man who faces a crossroads in his life, his career and his family. Garden State was a surprise hit for Zach Braff’s directorial debut. Also starring Kate Hudson and Josh Gad it will be interesting to see if Braff can recapture the charm of Garden State. Wish I Was Here releases on September 19th.
